THE AUDREY HEPBURN HAIRSTYLE
Audrey Hepburn, the English actress with Dutch origins was renowned as one of the most stylish women in the world. Ranking in almost all the lists of the most beautiful women in the world, Audrey Hepburn stood out with her elegant hairstyles. Her most famous, trend setting hairstyle is that from her role as Holly Golighty in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
The hairstyle consisting of an elegant up do epitomized by Audrey in the film exuded grace and charm just like her character. To recreate that magical hairstyle, the first thing required would be to apply a good texturizing cream to the hair to give it a better grip. This should be done on wet hair before blow drying as wet hair absorbs the cream better. Using a fine toothed comb, the hair must be then, combed backwards to bring a degree of volume to the hair and to ensure that the hairstyle stays in place. Using bobby pins, the extra fly away, or bangs must be pinned back to the hair. Taking the right side of the hair, it should be pulled back to the middle of the head where it is pinned leaving the rest of the length hanging. Now the remaining left side must be brought to the middle and entwined with the right side and swept up into a loose bun secured with pins at the crown. The fringe can then be unclipped to lie smoothly against the forehead. A mini tiara at the top of the bun will complete the elegant look.
