A shingle hairstyle is one of the oldest ways of styling the hair. This style was popular during the 1920s and it is even worn by the people in the present generation. In this hairstyle there will be wide waves which will tapper down to the back of your neck. It is considered to be a perfect choice of hairstyle for those with long hair. This style can be achieved by getting the help from a hairstylist to make sure it looks perfect.
First part the hair from the middle of your head crown to the neck. Start cutting the hair using a pair of shears to make the length reach at the bottom of the ears. Then trim and fine tune sections of hair to create a blunt cut and avoid trimming the hair at the nape of your neck. Next collect the hair into two sections, one on both side of the back of your head, to keep the hair away from the shingled v shape and Pin each section bobby pins. Now comb the hair down at the nape of your neck and create a V shape using the shears. Trim the hair into different lengths to create the waves. Keep the comb flat on your neck and tilt the comb slightly to collect the hair between the teeth to cut the hair. Start moving the comb half an inch higher on your head and repeat the same process until the neck is fully shingled.
