Short Afro Hairstyle
Creating short afro hairstyle can be difficult for most of the women. This style is worn by African-Americans along with textured hair and most of them braid their afros as cornrows which are braids that are close to the scalp. It is usually created in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal pattern and it will look like a corn field. Braiding short afros is known to be a difficult hairstyle to achieve because of the length of your hair.
Start the styling process by wash the hair with a shampoo and condition it as usual. Part the hair with a towel to make it a little moisture and comb the hair using a wide tooth comb. Brush the hair until you detangle it entirely. Apply a leave-in moisturizer to detangle the hair easily or afro pick to prevent pulling out the hair. Section off the hair using a comb to braid the first cornrow and part your hair to create cornrows. Mist the hair with water from a bottle to keep the hair damp before braiding. Divide the hair into three strands cross the right strand over the middle and cross the left strand over middle strand. Take the hair along the way while braiding and complete the stitch. Avoid braiding the hair too loosely to your head and continue stitching till the end of the hair. Secure the braids using a rubber band and twist the end with your fingers to keep it tight.
