Vintage Beehive Hairstyle
A Vintage Beehive was a very popular hairstyle during the 1960s and 1980s. It was a retro style during the period which featured a distinctive bun-shaped hairdo that was a popular choice for costume parties and it was worn as a fashion statement. Most of the celebrities during that period used to wear this hairstyle on regular basis on special events such as the red carpets. This style can be created with a basic ponytail and it can be matched with a retro dress.
To achieve this hairstyle, first separate front parts of the hair into two sides and make the bangs into two as well. Take back half of your hair to create a ponytail, then brush at the end of the tail and comb it towards your scalp. Now pull the ends of your ponytail up over its base and take the ends towards the center of the head. Secure the ends of your ponytail with bobby pins in place at the center of the head which should look like a bun. Start brushing the combed hair over your bun and secure it using bobby pins. Make sure to pin it all at the same spot back of your hair. Now work on each side individually and take the sides over the bun to build the height of the beehive. At last mist all over the hair with a hairspray to keep the beehive in place for a long time.
