Short Afro Braid
Short afro braids are mostly worn by African-Americans and it is created with a textured hair. The most common way of braiding afro hair is cornrows which are braids that are created close to the scalp. It is a low-maintenance hairstyle that helps you to protect the hair from breakage. Just follow these simple steps to achieve this hairstyle at home.
To get this style, wash your hair with a shampoo and condition it before starting the styling process. Then brush your hair with a wide tooth comb to detangle it entirely. Next take a part of hair using a comb to begin the braiding process. Part the hair in any direction you like and spritz it with water to make the hair damp. Now take your first section and divide the hair into three strands. Select the starting point and start braiding the hair by crossing the far right strand over middle stand, then cross far left strand over middle strand which is usually known as a stitch. Take the hair along the way during the braiding process and complete another stitch. Try to keep your hair close to the scalp to prevent the braid from getting too loose. Continue the stitching process until you reach the end of the hair and section off another row from the hair to continue the braiding process. At last use rubber bands at the end of your hair to hold the braid in place.
