Dealing With Bad Hair Highlights
Bad hair highlights can spoil your look very easily and it usually occurs when you leave the dye on the hair for a long time or a short time. This problem can also occur if you use wrong hair color or it can also happen when you mix the ingredients improperly. Most of the women would think it is very difficult to solve this problem, but there are few solutions that can help to fix bad hair highlights without going to a saloon.
First you must get a toner shade which looks almost similar to your own hair tone. There are different toner shades which includes like warm tones like reds, cool tones such as ash and neutral colors like brown. Then wash your hair and keep it slightly damp. Start mixing the toner using your hand until it gets a consistent color. Next spread the toner using a toothbrush or mascara wand. The toners will soften the effects of too bright highlights and in case you try to highlight the hair too often without using the toner, your highlights will start to come out too bright. Make sure to follow the directions mentioned on the toner regarding the length of time that will be left on your hair. The toners usually stay on the hair anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes. Finally wash the hair using a shampoo which is color-safe and rinse the hair till the water comes out clean.
