Taking Care Of Split Ends
A split end in the hair usually occurs when the cuticle on outside of a strand gets stripped at the end. This will make the hair to split very easily. Split ends in the hair are often hard to find and those who are growing their hair out must not cut it very often to avoid this. Here are few simple steps that can be followed while taking care of split ends.
First you must check the ends for splits as close as possible which will look dry and brittle. Trim the ends of the hair at home. Those who a layered hairstyle must trim their hair from a hairstylist and make sure it removed as soon as possible as it can split further up. Try to condition the hair using a conditioner which is specially made for a dry or damaged hair. Those who have a fine or oily hair can use a daily conditioner. Use a weekly deep conditioner on the hair-care routine. You can also follow your own deep-conditioning process by warming 2-4 oz. of olive oil and spread it all over the hair. Leave it on your hair for about 15 minutes and wash it with a shampoo. Try to wrap the head in a towel for a deeper conditioning. Avoid using heated styling tools on your hair such as flat irons, hot rollers and curling irons. All these tools can damage the hair and also avoid teasing your hair.
