The Jamaican Dreadlocks is a way of wearing your hair which will be twisted and twirled into locked pieces of hair. It involves a very unique techniques and style to create his type of hairstyle. This style can be very difficult o achieve for those who are creating it for the first time and it is generally time consuming.
To get Jamaican Dreadlocks, wash your hair completely to remove all dirt and oil. Rinse the hair with lukewarm water and apply straight white vinegar. Leave the hair to dry on its own and avoid conditioning it. Comb the hair and divide it into one inch section. Wrap each section with a rubber band tightly on top of your head close to the scalp. Take one section at a time to work with to create the dread and keep base of your dread in place by securing it before going to the next step. Try to twist and twirl your hair into the base of the dread and apply a dime-size amount of surf wax to make it soft. Rub the wax in the hair shaft while twisting it and secure base of the hair using another rubber band. Use the same method on the other parts of the hair and secured it with rubber bands. Leave the hair without washing for about 6-8weeks which will keep the dreadlocks in place. Apply olive oil at least once a week to prevent dreads from sticking to each other.
