A stressed hair is an unhealthy hair that can easily dry out even and break off. This usually occurs when you use blow dryer to dry the hair or curling irons and strengtheners which can make the brittle as well as unruly. De-stressing the hair usually takes 2-3 months to achieve the best results.

Always cover the hair when going out in the sun by wearing a hat or carry an umbrella. Use hair products which have a sunscreen as it can prevent further damage from UV rays. Condition the hair whenever possible and make sure to spread the conditioner which has ingredients that can provide moisture like jojoba or keratin. This can rehydrate the hair and add more body to the hair. Mist the hair with a hairspray on your hair after entering into a swimming pool. Use a shampoo on your hair less frequently as it can strip the scalp from essential oils which can help to de-stress the tresses. Get a hot oil treatment at least once a week to replenish oil to your hair shafts. Stressed hair usually lack natural oils which keeps the hair healthy. Massage the oil into your scalp and leave it on your head as long as possible. Use a shower cap on your hair to keep the oil on the head overnight for maximum results. Try to get regular haircuts at least once in six weeks to keep the ends from getting split and weak.
