A pompadour ponytail is a hairstyle that is a perfect choice for any special events. It is a combination of both modern and vintage updo. This style can be worn to keep the hair out of your face along with more volume on top of the head.
Start your styling by washing the hair using a volumizing shampoo and condition it with a lightweight conditioner. Keep a round boar-bristle brush under the hair starting near the crown of your head and use the blow-dryer down the hair shaft. Then your thumb above each ear and try to drag it back until they meet. Now pull the hair that falls above your thumbs and secure it on the top of your head. Comb the remaining section of your hair using a boar-bristle brush to create a ponytail just above ear height. Take the top section of your hair from the clip and comb it out to get rid of any tangles. Keep the section straight up by positioning the brush about three inches from the root on the underside. Start combing the section of hair down till you reach the root and continue this until the hair maintains volume. Mist the hair with a strong-hold hairspray and then take the top section back toward the ponytail to wrap the end around the elastic twice. Secure the ponytail with a hair pin and spritz it with a little amount of hairspray to keep it in place.
