Methods To Color Over Highlights
Coloring the hair with over highlights can be a very difficult process and you must follow a safe method while doing this. While coloring the hair with over highlights, the hair may absorb too much of color when compared to a natural hair. Avoid using a temporary hair color while coloring the highlights and also stay away from colors such as ash because it can cause green tint.
First go to a hairstylist to use the over highlights on the hair because coloring the hair with one tone will be difficult. Professional hairstylist will be helpful in achieving the result you are looking for. If you are doing this at home, first have a look at your hair and decide about the color you will be using it on the hair. Use dark hair color while coloring the highlighted hair and using a light color can spoil the look of your hair. Try to get two different hair colors for using on the highlighted hair and make sure to mix both of them accordingly. Use the primary color on the outside of your sectioned highlights and leave it on for around 20 minutes and rinse the hair before using the second hair color. Brush the hair to take the tangles out and use secondary color in the same way which you followed while using the first hair color. The color must not be left on the hair for more than half an hour before rinsing it.
