The dreadlocks will normally grow thicker as time passes and the hair will start to fall which will make the dreadlocks thin.
Don’t over-twist the hair after it has been locked in place as it can easily cause breakage. Another option is dividing the dreadlock which is thinning and try to cut your dreadlock from end to root. Then try to twist the dreadlock by using dread wax in the dreadlock. You can also sew the dreadlock to prevent thinning. Just fold a thick hair section in your dreadlock over thin part and clasp them together using a normal nylon thread.
